Precision Site Solutions was founded and is led by Gavin Greenhalgh, a surveyor with over 25 years of experience in the New Zealand industry. Based in Silverdale, we work across Auckland and the Rodney district on civil, cadastral, engineering, and building surveying projects, as well as underground services locating, concrete scanning, ground-penetrating radar, and 3D building scanning.
We started the business because we believed clients deserved more than being passed to junior staff or receiving a report with no explanation. Every job at Precision Site Solutions is handled with the same level of attention, regardless of size, and you will always have direct access to an experienced operator.
About Gavin Greenhalgh
Gavin began his surveying career at Elliot Sinclair and Partners in Christchurch, where he developed his foundation in cadastral surveying. Over the following 25 years he has worked on a wide range of projects across New Zealand, from residential subdivisions to large-scale civil and infrastructure works.
Projects Gavin has been involved in include roading and pavement construction work with Downer on the Russley Road project in Christchurch, bridge deck design and construction with Fulton Hogan on the Taupo Bridge, and runway pavement construction at Christmas Creek with Synergy Positioning Systems. This breadth of project experience – from subdivision work through to major civil infrastructure – shapes how Precision Site Solutions approaches every job.
What drives Gavin is the variety the industry offers and the opportunity to work on complex projects alongside other experienced people. That same approach shapes how Precision Site Solutions operates – a genuine interest in the problem at hand, and a commitment to delivering work that the client can actually use.

How We Work
Our background is in surveying, which means we bring something to locating and scanning work that pure locating companies cannot. We can produce geo-referenced survey plans that tie your underground service data directly to site boundaries and proposed works – giving your engineer or designer a file they can use immediately rather than a set of marks on the ground.
We are also straightforward about what we can and cannot detect. If site conditions mean there are limitations to our data, we say so clearly upfront. You will not find out about it later when it causes a problem.
Where We Work
We are based in Silverdale and work across the Auckland region, including the North Shore, West Auckland, East Auckland, South Auckland, and the Rodney district. Regular project areas include Whangaparaoa, Albany, Orewa, Warkworth, Kumeu, Henderson, and Manukau.
For projects outside these areas, contact us to discuss – we are able to travel for the right job.
